Lone Worker Protection

Our aim at 1st Alliance is to provide a safe working environment for all our security officers. Every guard is issued with site instructions, which must be read, understood and signed before duty begins. Guards arrive 15 minutes early for a full handover and book on duty with control 10 minutes before their shift starts; if a guard has not booked in within 5 minutes, control telephones to confirm they are on site. A 24-hour control room contacts guards hourly, and site instructions list emergency contacts, including 999 and the local police. All staff carry a mobile phone, and are issued full uniform and PPE. A first aid kit is held on every site and mobile unit, and a 24-hour quick response vehicle checks on guards, with control able to dispatch it directly if a guard fails to respond. A logbook records all comings and goings, check calls and supervisor visits, and any changes to site instructions are updated and reissued without delay.
